ABOUT TEENSCHANGINGTHEWORLD

Teenschangingtheworld.org is about things teens and kids can do right now to help improve the world.

Every day we hear depressing news reports of terrible events going on in the world.  Whether it’s earthquakes, global warming, starvation, or outbreaks of diseases; it’s easy to feel like there is nothing we can do to make the world a better place.  Luckily, this is not the case.  There are many things that you can do to help better the lives of people all over the world.

The goal of teenschangingtheworld.org is to make you aware of some opportunities and ideas to make a positive impact on the world or some part of it.  Many of these options take only a few minutes or less of your time.  Other projects allow you to be involved long-term, and sometimes even give you the opportunity to travel to the places where you are needed.  No matter what, we want you to help improve the world we share in a way that’s meaningful to you.

This website is created by teens and for teens, and we want to encourage you to get involved in service projects.  We will try to include a whole range and variety of issues so that each of you can find a cause that interests you.  In our Fundraising Help sections, we’ll let you know about things we tried, what worked, and what didn’t work.  Whoever you are, and whatever your commitment level, we hope this website gives you some ideas for how you can get involved and improve the world!

Best wishes in your quest to change the world!

HOW TEENSCHANGINGTHEWORLD WORKS

Periodically, we will post information about a new issue.

We will include:

  • information and research about the issue,
  • quick and easy activities that you can do to help change the world for the better,
  • longer term projects and ideas to work on if you are passionate about the cause,
  • a list of organizations that focus on the cause,
You will always be able to access previous issues via the “Previous Issues” sidebar. In the Fundraisng Help General Info Post, I explain more about what you can find in our Fundraiser Ideas posts.  Then check out the Fundraiser Ideas and see if they could work for your favorite cause.
